Hey everyone!

Have you ever listened podcasts before? I can say that they're like cool radio shows you can listen anytime and they include all sorts of interesting topics. Well, I got the chance to experience podcasting, and let me tell you, it was quite an adventure!

Let me share my own podcasting journey. Two years ago, I was given an assignment to create a podcast for my educational technologies class. My task was to develop a 60 second idea to make the world a better place. It was a cool assignment, but to say the truth, I didn't feel like I did a great job back then. However this time, I've decided to do the same project again. Why? Well, I see it as an opportunity to show my growth since then.

Brainstorming for this project was great. I did check some ideas and used my imagination, in the end came up with a concept that I believe can change the world. I decided to introduce the concept of "Good Deed Coins". Digital tokens you earn when you do acts of kindness. These coins could be used to get real world rewards. This turns kindness into currency. Cool huh?

But, like any project, I faced some challenges. First one was figuring out how to record my podcast. I ended up using this website called Vocaroo, which is suggested by our teacher. It actually made things a lot easier. Last time I recorded a podcast, I spent almost 3 hours to record and arrange a music intro. When I listened my old podcast I laughed at how terrible the quality was. Anyway this time the only tricky part was getting everything right in one go, but hey, practice makes perfect right? (Ended up recording 4 times to make it exactly 60 seconds :D ). But overall, working on my podcast was fun. It was really cool to see my idea come to life by speaking it. Alright, I can feel you're really curious to hear my podcast after all the story. :) Click here.

Would I give a similar task to my students in the future? Absolutely! Podcasting is a fun way for students to express themselves. It encourages teamwork and also critical thinking.

I didn't have time to finish my podcast with it, but I'll use the BBC's 60 second idea outro for the end of this writing:

"Thanks for tuning in, and until next time, keep spreading kindness and making the world a better place, one idea at a time!"
