Goodbye: Reflecting on My Blogging Journey

Hey everyone,

As I sit down to type this final blog post, I can't help but take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey I've been on throughout this course. Before diving into the world of instructional technologies (in ELT), my views on technology integration were, well, a bit narrow. Sure, I knew it had its place, but I never fully grasped its potential to completely transform the way we teach and learn languages.

But let me tell you, that's all changed now.

Throughout this course, I've had the opportunity to explore some pretty cool stuff, from chatting with an ancient figure in AI form to collaborating on Google Docs, diving into podcasting, experimenting with digital storytelling, and even creating infographics. And let me tell you, each task was like unlocking a new level of understanding.

This course has been a game changer for me. It's opened my eyes to the possibilities of integrating technology in ELT. Each task we did, whether it was crafting a podcast on spreading kindness or creating an infographic to raise awareness about cyberbullying, gave me a deeper understanding for how technology can enhance language learning experiences.

Now, if I had to pick favorites, I'd have to go with collaborative writing and digital storytelling. Collaborating on Google Docs helped us sharpen our writing skills through peer feedback. And digital storytelling? Well, let's just say it's a whole new level of creativity.

Of course, it wasn't all easy to do. Mastering some of the tools definitely had its challenges, but hey, isn't that what learning is all about? Overcoming obstacles and coming out stronger on the other side.

Oh, and let's not forget about my trusty companion throughout this journey, WIX. It's fair to say that getting used to its interface was really hard. But with patience, I created a blog that I'm proud of.

As I reflect on this course, I can't help but think about how we can make it even better. Maybe more activities that include some of the latest technologies, yes I'm talking about AI. We do really need the knowledge of using AI more efficiently as teachers of the new era. More tasks related to the AI could make this course a great savior for us, teacher candidates.

In closing, this course has been nothing but amazing. It's empowered me to embrace technology and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next.
